Directions

The Square, Annacotty

Where to go for one to one lessons and whistle classes.

Directions:

We are just around the corner from The Black Swan or just down the street from The Mill Bar. The quickest route from most places is to go via the new ring road (avoiding the traffic).

From the motorway head into Limerick via the N7 Dublin road immediately passing Finnegans pub on the LHS. Follow signs for Annacotty taking the 2nd left - cross over the old river bridge and take the immediate left here. Continue for about 100 yards into the square.

Route:

Annacotty is at the edge of Limerick city but is very close to the new N7 motorway which allows traffic from Cork/Kerry Dooradoyle and Raheen to get here within 10 or 15mins by avoiding the city centre and using the new motorway.

If you are coming from the Ennis side of town I would avoid the new toll tunnel unless you live beyond Cratloe/Bunratty, it wouldnt add much to your journey time and will take you initially to the opposite side of the city. You can still use the motorway from the Roxborough (city centre) junction but this would only be worthwhile during peak traffic times.

Kilmurry Arts and Heritage Centre

Location for most events and Group Classes

Kilmurry Church Centre, Castletroy (Limerick FIddle Workshop Classes)

Coming from Dublin direction into Limerick

(from Dublin, Castleconnell, Clare etc)

Take the Dublin Road N7 into the city. Newport roundabout take last exit for Limerick City / Castletroy.

Pass straight over Annacotty roundabout

At next roundabout (Kilmurry) take a right. Kilmurry Lodge Hotel is on this corner. Pass the entrance on your right and yards after take the 2nd left. If you come to a t junction - turn around!

Drive down past the graveyard until you come to a bend in the road to the left. Turn right just before it and park here. You have arrived!

Coming from Limerick City Centre

Follow signs for University of Limerick / Dublin N7

Take a left at the Groody roundabout and pass the entrance for university (huge flags!)

Keep going past Milford Credit union and big white gates (2nd UL exit ) on your left. Take the 2nd right after you pass the white gates.

Take your next right hand turn (if you come to the Kilmurry roundabout - you have gone too far - turn around / ask directions).

Pass alongside graveyard on your right and park in the space to the right just as the road bends to the left.

From the Hurlers - Thatched Roof Pub on N7 Dublin Road, just down from Kilmurry Roundabout (near Superquinn)

This is a fantastic landmark with its thatched roof and local popularity. If walking come out of pub and turn right, then take your first right. Walk for about 50yds and church (now Kilmurry Arts and Heritage Centre) will become visible as the road bends sharply to the right.
